Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Kitchen Friend ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Unraveled Studio LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), the developer of Kitchen Friend.

Description of Service

Kitchen Friend is a recipe management application for iPhone that allows users to:

• Import recipes from websites, social media apps, and text
• Scan physical recipes using the device camera
• Manually create and save recipes
• Plan meals using a weekly calendar
• Create and manage grocery lists
• Organize a personal recipe library

The App is available for free download with optional in-app purchases that unlock additional features. The free tier includes a limited number of monthly recipe imports processed by our secure cloud servers.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

Kitchen Friend offers optional premium access through the following purchase options:

• Monthly Subscription: Billed monthly
• Annual Subscription: Billed yearly with a 7-day free trial
• Lifetime Access: A one-time purchase for permanent premium access

All purchases, billing, cancellations, and refund requests are handled exclusively by Apple through the App Store. We do not have the ability to process refunds directly. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings. The 7-day free trial is available to new subscribers only.

Free Tier Limitations

Users on the free tier may import a limited number of recipes per month using our cloud parsing servers. To unlock unlimited imports, a premium subscription or lifetime purchase is required. We enforce this limit securely using an anonymous device identifier. We reserve the right to adjust free tier limits at any time.

Medical & Health Disclaimer

Kitchen Friend and its AI features are provided for informational and convenience purposes only. We are not nutritionists, doctors, or medical professionals. The App may generate meal plans, suggest recipes, and estimate nutritional information (e.g., calories, macros) using artificial intelligence. This information is an estimate and should not be relied upon for medical or health decisions.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any recipe or meal plan is safe for your consumption, especially if you have food allergies, intolerances, or specific medical conditions. Kitchen Friend assumes no liability for adverse reactions, illness, or health consequences resulting from the use of the App.

AI Generation & Accuracy

The App uses artificial intelligence to parse recipes, extract ingredients, and generate meal plans. Due to the nature of machine learning, the AI may occasionally produce errors, inaccurate measurements, "hallucinations," or unexpected results. You should always review and verify generated content before cooking.

Camera Permissions

Kitchen Friend may request access to your device camera to scan recipes from physical cookbooks. Camera access is entirely optional and all image processing is performed locally on your device. We do not transmit, store, or share any images or scan data.

User Content & Scraping

You retain full ownership of all content you create or import into Kitchen Friend. Kitchen Friend acts as a user-agent on your behalf to parse data from websites and social media platforms for your personal, non-commercial use only.

Kitchen Friend does not claim any ownership over the third-party recipes or content you choose to import. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of imported recipe content complies with the terms of the originating website and respects the intellectual property rights of the original creators (including copyright and fair use).

Intellectual Property

The Kitchen Friend application, including its design, code, graphics, and branding, is the exclusive property of Unraveled Studio LLC and is protected by copyright and applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Kitchen Friend is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Unraveled Studio LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Kitchen Friend. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for in-app purchases in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable law.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of Kitchen Friend after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
